My travels took me to Southeast Florida, where I visited and photographed the following locations:
Vizcaya, now called the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, is the landmark Villa and Estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove district of Miami, Florida. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate also includes: the extensive Italian Renaissance gardens; the native woodland landscape; and the historic village outbuildings compound. The landscape and architecture were influenced by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance models and designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style.
The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a center for Japanese arts and culture located west of Delray Beach in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The campus includes two museum buildings, the Roji-en Japanese Gardens: Garden of the Drops of Dew, a bonsai garden, a museum gift shop and the Cornell Cafe restaurant, which has been featured on the Food Network.
The Bonnet House (also known as the Bartlett Estate) is a historic home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.
