Pennsylvania Photography: Allegheny Cemetery

Photographing cemeteries is, oddly, one of my favorite things to do.  There’s something very solitary and calming about it.  Allegheny Cemetery is one of the largest and most historic cemeteries in the area.  I’ve been there before, and recently had a chance to go back and spend just an hour or so.

As a resident of Pittsburgh, PA, I am building a strong base of images from Pittsburgh and the western Pennsylvania region.

Pittsburgh and the surrounding regions provide a wealth of photographic opportunities. Pittsburgh is the second largest city in Pennsylvania and the 20th largest metropolitan area in the United States, with a population of more than 2,000,000.
